The Royal London Society for Blind People (RLSB), is a partner organisation of proposed new free school Thomas Lucas Academy, which is planned for September 2016 in West London.

Thomas Lucas Academy (TLA) will be a co-educational mainstream secondary school, for children aged 11-16, in Hounslow to meet the rising demand for high quality places in the area. With an initial intake of 120 Year 7 students, the aim of the school is to grow to full capacity, including a sixth form by 2020.

The school will benefit from being a smaller than average secondary school, focusing on academic achievement and pastoral care. Each year group will have a number of vision impaired students whom will benefit from the specialist support provided by Royal London Society for Blind People.

They are currently seeking expressions of interest from parents and teaching professionals in the West London area.
