Advice Service

Have you been newly diagnosed with an illness or disability?

Has your condition changed and you need advice or information?

Our expert team of advisors provide free advice & information by telephone, web, email and a drop-in advice service. We handle more complex queries as well as any quick question you may have. If we don’t know the answer there and then we will research it and get back to you. Often we work one to one with disabled people over a period of time to sort an issue out. Visit our Case Studies page for some examples of people we have supported.

We provide up-to-date information on all aspects of disability including

  • welfare rights and benefits
  • employment
  • housing
  • education
  • access
  • aids and adaptations
  • transport, mobility
  • equipment
  • holidays and leisure

Our clients include disabled people, families, friends, relatives, carers, students, professionals and other voluntary organisations.

Here is some feedback from people that have used our service

I feel clearer about what to do, reassured that there is support if I need it again, and I’m much less anxious today.

At a stressful time it has been good to talk to someone who wants to help. This will help my parents on a day to day basis, which improves their quality of life and lessens my concerns.

Without here it would be difficult for me because of problems with English.  I can trust the information I get from you.
