Toolkits

Research shows that many people who meet the criteria for a disability under the Equality Act choose not to describe themselves as disabled because of fears regarding losing employment or promotion opportunities.

Employers can’t afford not to create a disability friendly and inclusive working environment.

Richmond AID have produced a series of free toolkits for employers which provide a quick and clear introduction to key aspects of disability equality and awareness. This can help you to deliver your business aims and to meet your obligations under the Equality Act.

  • Introduction – Why disability matters
  • Employment and the Equality Act
  • Hidden Disabilities
  • Mental health
  • Reasonable Adjustments
