Richmond AID are currently recruiting for a new role of Information Navigator.

The role will involve working within our advice and information team. Our Information Navigators support people through the complexities of the health and social care system. You will work one to one to support people on a variety of complex issues including housing and health services and you will support people to access services, activities and opportunities in their community. You will need to have experience of advice work, be a team player and have the ability to work from your own initiative.

To work as an Information Navigator as part of our advice team and as part of the Community Independent Living Service (CILS) team.

To provide specialist one- to- one support, advice and information to people with disabilities and complex long term conditions through a variety of mediums – for example face- to- face, telephone, email, groups.
To provide support to people with long term conditions to access their local health and social care system (statutory and non-statutory), providing emotional support and reassurance.
To provide outreach and advice surgeries at various locations within the borough as required.
To enable people to link with services to improve their physical, mental and economic wellbeing and maintain or regain independence in their own home and community.

You will be organised and empathetic, with the ability to work individually as well as as part of a team. And you will have excellent administration skills with an excellent working knowledge of MS Word, Outlook, database entry and other applications.

Salary: £21,953 incl OLW pro rata

This post is for 21 hours per week and will be on a fixed term contract until 31^st December 2018.
