Richmond Advice and Information on Disability (Richmond AID) is an organisation of and for disabled people, working to improve access, choice, quality of life and independence for disabled people in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames and surrounding areas. We are looking for an enthusiastic, hardworking and highly motivated person to join our team.

 

Disability Peer Network Coordinator

Salary: pro rata of £22,065 to £24,024 depending on experience, incl OLW

Annual Leave: pro rata of 25 days leave plus bank holidays

Closing Date: 10am on Tuesday 25th April 2017

 

This post is for 28 hours per week and will be a two year contract.

 

Our Peer Network Co-ordinator will set up a range of social activities for disabled people to come and together to learn and share experiences. The programme of activities developed will engage disabled people across all impairment groups and across the borough of Richmond. The programme which will consist of regular group activities, trips, talks and more. The programme will be shaped by disabled people. The Peer Network Co-ordinator will work with disabled people to become peer mentors that support in the organising of the sessions, marketing and creating a programme of events.

 

This fun and exciting role is suited to someone with great organisational skills and the ability to motivate and inspire people to participate. The applicant will need to able to work on their own initiative, be a ‘can do’ person and be creative.
