Need help with an EHC Plan?
The Independent Support Partnership (ISP) can support you through the process of applying for a new Education, Health and Care (EHC) Plan or the conversion from an existing statement to an EHC Plan if you live in the Richmond, Kingston and Hounslow boroughs. We are the first point of contact for new EHC Plans or conversions from statements. The Independent Support Partnership work with range of partners including the Parent Partnership Service, voluntary sector and local authority. Independent Support Partnership is a free service to young people, children and families.
How the service works
Independent Supporters can help young people, children and families by;
- Supporting you in understanding the legal framework that underpins the changes.
- Preparing for and thinking through with you what the changes mean for your situation.
- Preparing for meetings with schools and/or the Local Authority.
- Attending meetings with schools and/or the Local Authority to support you in ensuring that your voice is heard.
Important Note: Please do contact us for advice, information and support if you have applied for or are considering applying for an EHC Plan or have a Statement of Special Educational Needs that is being reviewed to become an EHC Plan.
