Richmond AID’s Counselling Service is available to anyone over the age of 18 years in the community and we have specific expertise in supporting people with long term health conditions, disabilities, mental health, and caring responsibilities.

We offer the three main proven approaches used within counselling; psychodynamic therapy, person-centred therapy (sometimes referred to as humanistic) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). This gives you more choice and flexibility to tackle issues and creates the flexibility to flow between approaches to move towards your personal goals.

We offer you a calm and confidential place for you to talk though your problems. Sitting with a counsellor you can explore any feelings and thoughts you raise, no matter how difficult you feel they may be.

Our service operates on a Wednesday evening, where we offer the privacy and quiet you need to explore your issues. It’s an accessible and affordable service. Our building is fully accessible and we keep our fees as low as possible, offering a sliding fee structure based on what you can afford.
